Late 80’s and early 90’s were the experimental periods where the sneaker technology spiked up with various brands releasing their own technological gimmicks and advancements. Some have stayed, others have gone and the Nike Air Pressure is a classic sneaker from that by gone era. The sneakers could be pumped up to insert air into a bladder collar, providing ankle support. Now Nike is paying tribute to the Air Pressure by designing the AR1 which takes the aesthetics of the former, sans the bulky pump technology. The AR1 comes in the same white/dark grey/wolf/varsity red colorway that characterized the Air Pressure. Even a dark grey ventilation eyelets have been attached on the heel where the pump used to be situated. via: SC
