Something is obviously going on at BBC Japan this season. It’s not surprising that the label created by Pharrell is forward, but it is a bit surprising to see how haute things are getting, with runway influences left and right. This latest piece, a shawl sweater with elbow and shoulder patches, is available in two versions, both of which take liberally from some fashion trend staples: the first version version has a Wehrmacht-inspired camo pattern, and a Junya Watanabe way of incorporating it. The second, in solid gray, has the DNA of a British Commando ribbed sweater. Both have a nicely large shawl collar, a front handwarmer pocket, and a small logo at the left bicep. Of course, no one is getting left out – if you still want your astronaut logo T-Shirts and New Era hats, BBC has you covered – but these sweaters are set for release tomorrow, December 4th.
